Draw it Again!

oh man, I've had the worst art block ever. I used to be kind of blase about artblock before; I never realised just how bad it can get... I never want to experience that feeling again.
It's been a bit of a tough two weeks art-wise - what with that titan-wall sized artblock, and then getting to the other side - aka where I am now, and not really having any idea how to draw anymore... It's not really flowing as easily as it did before. I think part of the problem is that I gave myself artblock by trying a few new things that didn't really work for me, but I was determined to make them work and then got increasingly frustrated when they didn't. I guess I've realised that you probably shouldn't force yourself to draw exactly like other people! That's something I learned when I was just starting out, but I guess I forgot it until now. Everyone has their own style and things that work for some people don't work for others, and forcing yourself.... well, that did not work at all for me. (In brief there were many tears and ripped pages and hours spent staring at the wall... and some mania it was horrible)

Anyway. I'm trying to relearn how to draw, and apply some of the things I learned during the crazy!! Cause even though some of the things I tried to apply just made my art block worse, I did learn a few things... like how to position arms. SO I decided to celebrate the "end" of that artblock by doing a redraw of something! Since I've been going through a lot of my old stuff (haha piles and boxes of junk in my bedroom) and throwing things out, but I found that old drawing in a school diary (can't remember if it really was 2008... it could have been '07 or '09, idr) and thought it'd be fun to redraw and see just how far I've come, even if I'm not quite where I'd like to be! Although the redraw took way longer to draw than it should have, but at least I managed to locate one thing I was doing that was causing the proportions to not come out right! (I kept making the arms too short lol)
